2 Minute Guacamole & Bacon Chips
2 Min Guacamole & Bacon Chips
Ingredients:
4 slices of Bacon (Thick cut bacon so it doesn't break when you dip...or double dip! We're not judging.)
1 Avocado
4 tbsp Salsa Verde (I get the Trader Joe's kind as its low carb and delish)
Garlic salt (I ♡ Trader Joe's garlic salt!)
Cook Bacon. Cut bacon into 3 or 4 sections Lay bacon in a pan (glass or metal) and place in the oven. I cook mine at 350 till it looks right (about 15 min until all the fat is rendered). You can go with the bacon being a bit fattier or cook it until it’s really crispy - it is up to you!
1. Remove Pit and skin on Avocado. Cut Avocado in half and scoop out the good stuff with a spoon. If you are having trouble (click here). Keep the pit on the counter in case there are any left overs - it can help keep your guacamole from browning if you stick it back in with what is left.
2. Add 4 tbsps of salsa. Mix very well and use a form to smash the avocado. You can mash it all the way or leave big chunks in there. If your avocado needs a bit more ripening you can add sour cream to help make it creamier.
3. Add garlic salt to taste. Put some spice in there, mix it up, and taste. If more is needed keep adding.
The Nutrition label is based on the use of a medium avocado and salsa verde from Trader Joe’s. It does not include spices or the bacon.
