I ❤ Food. Eating it, making it, & taking pictures of it. I always have. I get to be creative and make something pretty and delish. What's not to love? For many years I struggled with my weight. I gained 100 pounds in a year and wasn't sure what to do. I was up, I was down, I got pretty round and eventually I felt like nothing I ever did was going to work. You name it I've tried it: gluten free, so many diets, working out for hours every day, different weightloss plans, personal trainers, and so much more.. |
I would get so upset because I would follow any advice exactly as I was told and not lose a thing.
Eventually I was diagnosed with (PCOS) Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which has a few implications like insulin resistance, hormonal imbalances, acne, abnormal monthly cycles, & weight gain.
The largest I ever got was 275 which was horrible for my health and left me feeling uncomfortable. I have always been very active and love playing any kind of sport. Not letting my weight hold me back from what I enjoyed I went to a trampoline park where I ended up tearing my ACL and Meniscus. Around this time I met this really really cute guy (did I mention he is REALLY cute?).
We went on a really insanely long first date and talked for hours about many things but one was his 100 pound weight loss journey and the ketogenic diet. I thought it was pretty interesting & crazy sounding. Being a bit spontaneous I decided to just jump on the bandwagon.
To my amazement the weight seemed to fall off. On top of that I got to eat things that I originally thought weren’t good for me. Things that were hflc (high fat but low carb) like Bacon, Butter, Cheese, & All the Fatty Meats. ALL THE MEATS.
In 8 months I was down 80 pounds & it was all done without working out, eating insane amounts of bacon, & did I mention not working out? In fact I was bed ridden for a month and then on crutches and barely walking.
I love sharing my story with whoever will listen and hope to inspire others as I have been inspired.
